Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim (Cassette Audiobook)
2 journalers for this copy...
I have listened to several of David Sedaris' books and find them touching at times, honest and funny. This one is of no exception. I love how he writes or tells his stories about himself, his partner and his quirky family. I found myself laughing right out loud at times and this can be a dangerous thing since I do most of my listening while driving. My favs on this audiobook were the ones involving Sedaris' brother (his marriage and the birth of his baby), Who's the Chef (rubber or plastic?), Nuit of the Living Dead (involves the disposal of a mouse and aiding a lost traveler) and the funniest of them all.... 6 to 8 Black Men (or how the Dutch celebrate Christmas).
Sending this off to grubsneerg. They picked it off of iwillrejoice's Audiobook VBB list. Enjoy!
Arrived safely. Thanks for sending, imawinn2!
I don't think there is a better way to "read" David Sedaris's books than by listening to David Sedaris read them. Clever and laugh-out-loud funny, I enjoy his view of life and love and family. I will definitely keep an ear out for more of his memoirs.
