Book was waiting for me when I came home today.

Sorry for taking so long to send the book out, I’ve barely been home these holidays. I read the excerpt of the next book and I can’t wait to read it.

I'm so sorry I have kept this book so long! I got lost on my Mount TBR and then books were just piling up and I had forgot which came first. But now I'm back on track again!

Oh boy, this was something! It must be some kind of a new record as I had to read 86% of this book to see something happening! Well, maybe this was sort of a filling book. I'll propably meet with Kemppu next week so I can give this one for her.

Hopefully will meet Kemppu today in our local meeting! :)

This was another quick and nice to read Sookie book, although, like Appelsiini said, nothing really happened before Sookie and others finally got to the summit and the first introductions there were over.
I'm happy that Alcide is not in the book anymore and I hope he won't be in the future, either. I don't really know about Quinn yet. I missed Sam, because I like him, but hopefully there'll be more about him in the next Sookie book, and it looks like it according to the sneak peek part in the end of this book.

Arrived and I've already read it before I managed to login to bookcrossing and register this.

I found this a quick read, but also an annoying one. What a waste of space most of the bodyguards were, what with all these plonking big signals that there was trouble coming. I mean, no one picked up on this? Unbelievable?

Plus the more I read of these books the more I'm on the Fellowship's side. The vampires are running their own separate legal system? At which apparently humans can't even introduce themselves? They think that they can impose their wills on living humans (like blood exchange)? The judges at the vampire court talk about living humans being under another vampire's protection as a special reason not to attack said living human? This is a thoroughly nasty culture here and it seems that the police can't touch them. Furthermore, I can't recall encountering a single vampire who actually has some moral opposition to killing living humans, as opposed to practical concerns for their own skin. (Didn't Eric go off and kill a few people who'd upset Sookie in the first book, if I remember rightly?)

I'd love to see a story about the IRS going after the vamps, even if the police can't touch them, I'm sure the IRS could.

And Sookie is so passive, it's annoying! Promising that to back up her brother!

That said, I liked Amelia, and I still like Quinn, and it was nice seeing Barry coming back and Sookie really using her mind-reading ability.

I am so sorry that I delayed this book so long! I have been busy, stressed out and going through some big changes in my personal life, so I haven't really read anything for months.

But now I am finished with this one. Lots of action in the last few chapters, very slow start. I hope we hear from Quinn soon!

Once again, a nice and exciting little trip to Sookie's world. Slow start, but things got going towards the end.

Sorry, I have forgotten to register this one. And delayed it also. I am sorry. So much going on. (Or actually "so much" has two legs and is about 80cm long. Maybe I'll move to fairytales and leave novels to faster readers.)

This one was quick to read. Quinn seems so lovely, I get irritated when he has so much to do. Be with Sookie, you moron! Plot got little confusing at the end. I would like to concentrate more on Sookie, not on vampire politics. But anyways, this was nice one, some previous ones have been almost boring compared to this.

I will send this and previous one to Liinuskainen as soon as I confirm her address.
