9 out of 10

Trouble is magic is so addictive, especially when you've got inner goddesses like Lilith to contend with. And it doesn't stop there for Garnet; if you are going to run an occult bookstore then you've got to expect customers like Sebastian Von Traum, with his piercing brown eyes, sexy accent, killer body and total lack of an aura; which means he's dead ... Trouble can be so hard to resist, and what with Vatican witch hunters, long-lost vampire exes and a boyfriend with an ex-wife who is literally stirring in her grave, Garnet Lacey has trouble enough for anyone.

7 out of 10

Got this read over the past couple weeks. I had it on my wishlist because ... well, I thought Tate Hallaway had contributed to Whedonistas (under a different name?).

This was a fun, easy read. I'm not sure if I want to continue reading Garnet Lacey books. While I can lose myself in fictional settings, certain things in fictional settings bother me (more now than they used to.) I'm finding some of those things in these books. Plus, I'm beginning to feel like while there is some new twist to the vampires in this book, vampires are starting to get overused.

I'll be seeing if I can find it on another's wishlist to RABCK or I'll be wild releasing it.
