Welcome to BookCrossing!
Thanks for taking the time to read my journal. The book you've found is now yours, no strings attached! You can keep it forever or read it and pass it along like I did. It would be great though, if you could take the time to write a quick note so that I know it found a new home. You can stay annoynomous or sign up. It is free to join and no one gets your email address (plus no spam). If you sign up you will also get notifications if anyone else journals about this book, which is exciting. Please consider using Crossing-Guard as your referring member if you do sign up. Who knows how far this book will travel...
This was picked up for $0.25 at a garage sale to be read and then released.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
An interesting look at what happens to a spoiled girl when she finds out she is the incarnation of the goddess Kali. I thought it might be more about a girl who "thinks" she is Kali so it was rather interesting when it becomes apparent that is wasn't in her head. I found the character kind of annoying but in the end she started to grow on me. A perfect fluff book that I enjoyed.
I am taking this to the Calgary "Wonderful World of Colour" BookCrossing meetup. Maya is a pretty colourful character! I will leave this on the shelf if no one takes it home.

Sounds weird and fluffy, so I snapped it up :)
The Calgary Bookcrossing group is having our "Not My Cup Of Tea" meeting at Cravings today. I am taking this book along becasue it seemed like a good idea when I brought it home, but I now realize I am just never, ever going to get around to readng it. I'm sure it's hilarious, but I just don't dig chick lit romances :(
Hopefully it will find an appreciative reader at the meeting today :)

Picked up at this month's Calgary Bookcrossing meeting. To be read when I need a nice fluff read.
I finished this book in a lazy evening, guffawing at the main character's sarcasm, but I had to shake my head at it afterwards. It was a fun read, and I enjoyed most of it, but about halfway through, it started feeling petty. I'm glad the main character (spoiler-but-not-so-spoiler-alert) got over herself... or I might have thrown the book at the wall.
Will be brought back to Calgary Bookcrossing next chance I get.

Picked up this book at the Calgary BookCrossing November meet-up. Chick lit isn't exactly my thing, but the whole reincarnation of a Hindu goddess angle sounded interesting.
I knew going in that I wouldn't enjoy this book, since chick lit is so not my thing, but man, this was so dumb. Could the main character be any more petty or unlikable? In any other book, she would learn some humility to unlock her powers, but here, it's like "Well, I am who I am" and that's that. And I know it's chick lit so it's always the case when the girl can't stand the super hot guy but she still falls for him, but my god, that was so boring. The whole reincarnation of the goddess Kali thing was vaguely amusing, but that bit of the story was kind of boring, too. If you want to read a book with a similar premise, but one that's way more interesting, read "The Epic Crush of Genie Lo".
Passing on this book to the next reader at the Calgary BookCrossing January meet-up.
