Sixteen-year-old Sorry Rinamu has lived on he Bikini Atoll in the western Pacific all his life. Now, the U.S. Government wants to use his home for atomic weapons tests. The islanders are told they must leave.

This book was interestering and information. I learned a lot about the testing and use of the atomic bomb. The book was told generally from the perspective of the inahabitants of the Bikini Atoll in the Marshall Islands who were transplanted when the Bikini Atoll became the test site for atomic bombs. It is a sad story.

Thank you so much for sending this book to me, so I can (hopefully) complete the 666 challenge.

The extra surprise of the book labels are also very appreciated. I haven't seen the 10th anniversary convention labels before, they're a great idea!

Very well written YA book. I went on many a march as a child to protest testing of Nuclear weapons and admit I always thought the French were to blame for nuclear testing in the South Pacific.

A sad story about needless progress.

I will send this to frutz in Luxembourg to continue it's journal.

Very interesting to learn more about the American testing of the atomic bomb in the Bikini atoll; the story of Sorry's people being forced to leave their home is sad.
