Sending this to a friend - it's on her wishlist!
Oh, you shouldn't have, but I am very happy you did ! And I'm very happy with your letter, I'll return you one soon !!!!!!
This is a great book. It did take me quite a while to get through it, because of the dense prose, but it is definitely worth it. Such beautiful writing.
Thank you stringofpearls for sharing this with me.
I'm now sending it to Romania where someone else is forfilling the 1001-list too ...
Happy reading lamelemon.
(ps : string, i was very happy with your snail mail and will soon reply !)

Happy wish list tagging :)
Safely picked up this evening from the post office along with its secret companion and the neatest stash of tea. Thank you so much for this unexpected bunch of goodies! And sorry to say you didn't keep me waiting - Mt. TBR ain't going nowhere any time soon. But this looks like a great book so I'll do my best not to stall it for too long :)
Reserved for Nakipa as of Jan 6th

I went slowly through this book, but I can't say I didn't enjoy it. There are a lot of passages worth underlining. The end of the childhood story was abrupt and, I felt, unjustified. Anna's storyline impressed me the most.
Will soon travel to Nakipa

Here goes a very late gift from the 2013 Birthday Group. I had to go to work early so now I'm redeeming myself and sending the presents I didn't get the chance to send. I hope you like it! :D

What a lovely surprise to find this book in the mail on a cold and snowy Winter's day.
Will add to Mt. Toobie.
Thank you very much for thinking of me.

Thank you very much for thinking of me.
It boggles my brain that an author can take so many beautifully constructed sentences and then weave them together with so much utterly boring … flotsam.
Another 1001 books you must read before you die that I could have lived, happily, without.
