I read this book years ago and loved it. I'm adding it to the "Remember the Memoir" bookbox. Enjoy!
My mom is visiting and peeked into the book box. She chose this book for herself, which I think is great since i have lots to put back in! So it will be travelling to the Hudson Valley, NY home with her and perhaps make the rounds up there. thanks!

One very well written memoir. Very sad that Adeline went through all that she did, but she has become a well rounded and educated woman. I am very happy to have read this, and am passing it along to my sister.
