People arriving in America bring with them their beliefs and Gods from their old country. But these Gods have been forgotten by most as people worship media, money, and technology.
As the old and new Gods look set to find their place in America, an ex-con called Shadow tries to figure out his role amoung it all.
This is the darkest novel I've read by Gaiman, but it was interesting...although rather long at parts. I think some of it could have been cut. An interesting fusion of various religous beliefs (Nordic, American Indian, Irish, Indian...)
