I was lucky enough to find this little book in quite good condition at a library sale to use as a wishlist RABCK. I already have a personal copy and very much enjoy Donna Jo Napoli`s writing. I hope the RABCK is enjoyed :)

Product Description
Pan, both goat and god, is a curious being who roams nature searching, wondering, and frolicking with maenads and satyrs. He plays melodies on his reed flute, wooing animals to listen. He is a creature of mystery and delight. One day in his travels, Pan meets Iphigenia, a human raised as the daughter of King Agamemnon and Queen Clytemnestra. Pan is captivated by the young princess. Set against a landscape of myth and legend, Napoli’s latest tale is a love story wrought with sincere emotion and all that is great about the Gods.

This landed safely in my mailbox today, accompanied by a nice card, a bookcrossing label, and some fun, glittery dragon stickers. Thank-you! I look forward to reading it.

This was written simply but more engagingly than many treatments of classical myths. I enjoyed it.

I'm counting it toward Europe (Greece) in the 666 Around the World Reading Challenge for 2021, and also for (D) in the A-Z Authors Reading Challenge.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

Today, the Red Hat Society Breakfast Club in the Columbia Area met for a "Bring Your Own Breakfast" at the park. First time we've been together in over a year, so you can imagine the talking and catching up going on. While there, I dropped off a few books in the little free library. This is one that I left.
