When travelling home from Birmingham last week, we stopped for a lunch break in a garden centre near Wakefield, so much nicer than a motorway service station, with the added attraction of a discount bookshop within the complex! As they offer unused paperbacks at 3 for £5, I naturally had to treat myself to a set!
I chose this because I had no idea Ms Beaton wrote other books than her mysteries featuring Agatha Raisin that I enjoy and Hamish McBeth that I don't! It appears to be a rather silly Regency romance - but there's a time and place for all sorts of novels, so I'm prepared to give it a go ....

That was fun! It was quite as silly as its silly pink cartoon cover would suggest - but fun for a lazy Sunday afternoon and I wouldn't mind reading others in the series.

Well, first Hamish Macbeth, then Agatha Raisin & now Miss Pym...M C Beaton is certainly a busy little bee! Can't wait to see what sort of character Miss Pym turns out to be.

Oops...thought I'd already done a JE for this! I picked it up months ago & I'm sorry to say I just wasn't keen at all. I put it down & have never felt the urge to return to it! Anyhow, it's on the wishlist of a Sweepstakes Winner so I'm moving it on to someone who will appreciate it more - sorry but thanks Nu-knees.

In this book the story mainly takes place in Brighton instead of during the journey. Loved the sea bathing and that Hannah got to meet the Prince.

Moved to reserved, I'm taking this book and 3 others in the series to release in Sussex.
