A good read, when you're in the mood for this sort of thing. I feel that if Jane Austen were writing today I probably wouldn't like her books -- as insightful into the human heart as they sometimes are, the fact is that she writes about people I can't very well relate to (i.e. the upper crust). Of course, it's often fun to read about things you have no experience of or look at books as a sort of history lesson, which is why I like the occasional Austen novel today. But honestly I feel like, with a modern update, her books would only be fluffy sentimental chick-lit about the well-to-do...
