Thank you Ossiefry for sending and victoriawagtail for registering this book. I am so very excited, I love Astrid Lindgren, I absolutely devoured her books as a child. But I don't think I've read this book before, so I can't wait to read it!
Wow, that was really amazing! I loved it!

On its way to Eponine38, hope you enjoy it!
Thank you so much, Marsala, for this book (and the other goodies!). Once I ensure that there are plenty of handkerchiefs/kleenex on hand, I'm going to read it (this weekend, hopefully):=)
Well, I guess the 3rd time's a charm! For some reason I couldn't get into this story the first couple times I tried, and I was feeling very badly about it because it came so highly recommended and marsala was so kind to send it "across the pond" to me.
I just finished reading it today, in one sitting, and - wow - what a wonderful story! [I did cry and cry...] I've no idea why it took me 3 tries, but am very glad I persisted :-) I think so often it depends on your mood, when you pick up a book, how much you'll like it.
This has all the elements: brotherly love, adventure, kindness, evil, betrayal, loyalty, altruism...
I already started looking for another copy to put in my permanent collection after this one moves on. [I was somewhat horrified to learn, during my search, that in some translations (American?) the narrator is named Scotty! What??]
Thank you marsala and all previous readers for sharing this, and I do apologize for keeping it so long.

Someone at the Convention gave this book to my daughter Rowan. I don't know who! But thank you to that person and thank you to eponine38 for sending it to the Convention :-)
