I pounced on this as soon as I saw it on the book table on Friday night, my Mum will probably be keen to read it too.

I found this a pretty depressing book. I also felt quite uncomfortable that the family secret which obviously grieved Bennett's mother was a main topic in the book. I know she is no longer alive but it seems disloyal of him to have written about something that distressed the family so much. The blurb reviews promised humour but I seemed to have missed it...
