A crackingly good adventure with a strong heroine and likeable characters that I am going to be happy to follow in the further books of the series. The BBC film of the book only showed how much was crammed into the story (would have been much better as a series than rushed in an hour and a half). But Billie Piper played Sally Lockhart perfectly and I will always visualise her as the character.
