Journal Entry 1 by SabinaLorenz from Wien Bezirk 19 - Döbling, Wien Austria on Thursday, April 14, 2011
Spring has come to Meg Corey's apple orchard - and it's quickly becoming a killer season. Just as she's getting the hang of managing the two-hundred-year-old orchard she's inherited, the dead body of a local organic farming enthusiast is found in her springhouse. and the only thing that's sprung is a murder accusation - against her...
Again Meg tries to solve the murder, Seth helping her as they get closer and closer... it is a cozy mystery without too much thrill. I am already interested in the next improvement to the old farm house...

Journal Entry 3 by Rianonne at Wien Bezirk 22 - Donaustadt, Wien Austria on Saturday, April 16, 2011
Thanks a lot for lending me this book!
As with most cozies, it is the side stories that garner a lot of interest. In this case, Meg Corey's work-in-progress with the old house, the apple orchard (very much pesticide info), and likeable plumber, Seth. I loved the Meg/Lavinia (Lolly) interactions - Connolly has "cat language" down-pat!! And I absolutely liked the addition of Large and Smaller Goat ;-)
I'm hoping that, as the author becomes more comfortable with the series, the mysteries take on a bigger part in future books. Still, it is a pleasant, light, summer read.
