Just reading VanBiohazard's review, and must say, I think that Rose's behavior goes beyond jealousy, more like insecurity, possession and evil vengeance. And with the startling end chapter reveal about Daisy, it sounds like the the Redferm women are well on their way to second-generation sociopath.

I like how Gillian White writes but I'm not sure if I was convinced by the Daisy sub-plot. It wasn't developed enough to be believable, and I felt like it was called-in at the end to be a dramatic surprise, kind of like the witchcraft in another book of her's I read called Witches Cradle. Anyhow, definitely an interesting book about Menopause and the Joys of Phenobarbital. Was shocked (after googling this topic) that you can obtain this controlled substance online with a vet's prescription. Hope this book doesn't give any jealous women ideas...
