Law professor Ray Atlee and his prodigal brother, Forrest, are summoned home to Clanton, Mississippi, by their ailing father to discuss his will. But when Ray arrives the judge is already dead, and the one-page document dividing his meager estate between the two sons seems crystal clear. What it doesn't mention, however, is the small fortune in cash Ray discovers hidden in the old man's house--$3 million he can't account for and doesn't mention to brother Forrest, either.

Eine wunderbare Geschichte darüber, was passiert, wenn uns das Geld lockt und wir darüber unsere Moral und Grundsätze vergessen. Gut geschrieben und locker zu lesen.

Empfehlenswert!

Edit: 8 July 2014
I only read about half of the book, because it was not very captivating for me. Hopefully, the next reader will enjoy it more. I reserved it for the International BookXerpting, where it was now chosen by LilyKlip.

I am not the biggest fan of Grisham and I received this book through a xerpting. Unfortunately it didn't change my mind about Grisham.

Two brothers are called back to their old father, a judge, presumably to receive instructions on his last will. When Ray, the older brother arrives, he finds his father has already died. He also finds boxes of money stashed away in a cabinet - over 3 Million Dollars. And then basically nothing at all happens for almost the rest of the book. The solution is pretty boring and constructed if not clichè. Not sure how this one became a #1 bestseller...

Thank you anyway for sending it to me!
