Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day
12 journalers for this copy...
a fabulous children's book that I read as a child and shared with my nieces & nephews later in life!
this is acting as the journal book for my spring cleaning 2011 bookbox!
headed out with 30 books of varying genres, though there is no harlequin type pocket romance and do not wish any to pop in : )
basic bookbox rules apply:
journal when you get the box
please only journal the books you are taking out....then message the next in line to keep it moving along nicely. Please only put into the box the same number of books that you take out. Hopefully there is something for everyone and this comes back to me with all " new to me" books.

"A book is a mysterious object, I said, and once it floats out into the world, anything can happen. All kinds of mischief can be caused, and there's not a damned thing you can do about it. For better or worse, it's completely out of your control."

Wow, nice book box! It showed up today on my door step in San Diego (never mind that my husband says I really don't need any more books)! I'll make a few selections and get it on its way quickly. This book, about Alexander, by the way, is one of my all time favorite books, so if you haven't read it, read it before you send it on! My sons and I love it.

It's here!
Holy smokes, this is a big box! It was like 12 or 13 when I signed up for this.
Of course, I had to immediately read about Alexander & his bad day.
I'll be looking through the box & will send it on its way asap! :-)

I had noticed people are putting more books in than they are taking out....PLEASE only put in for the books you are taking out as I have plenty of my own TBR at home. It went out with 30 books in it and it sounds like it has much more than that in it currently so I am asking for the rest of the people doing the book box to feel free to pull a couple extra out for wild releasing! Thanks!!!
and sorry to hijack the JE's, but it is the easiest way to get the info out!

OK, I've made my selections, & as soon as I hear back from jennyc1230 with an address, I'll send this on its way.
I hope I didn't mis-speak - I've never done a bookbox like this before. I've received (way smaller) bookboxes, but this one looks like a moving box. I think I counted 41 books. Is that the norm?
Anyway, I will add:
Hullabaloo in the Guava Orchard by Kiran Desai
The Sun Also Rises by Ernest Hemingway
Australian Shell Parrakeets by Schneider & Vriends
1st to Die by James Patterson
And I will remove:
Christmas with Southern Living 1981
Lucky Child by Loung Ung
Kissing Babies at the Piggly Wiggly by Robert Dalby
In the Land of Dreamy Dreams by Ellen Gilchrist
Don't Let's Go to the Dogs Tonight by Alexandra Fuller
The Box Children by Sharon Wyse
(since you said to take a couple extra).
Thanks for letting me play!
