Quite an ok Book, the sequal to 'fighting ruben wolfe', but can also stand alone...

I've caught this book at Mulligans Irish Pub. I know 'The book thief' and I like it - I hope that this one also will be good. Thanks!

Zusak really knows how to write. Maybe the story is not the most interesting (and sometimes a little unbelievable) but how he describes it - I find it good. I'll try to find the previous book.

A nice novel about growing up, finding one's place in the family and in the world, about first loves and true loves, about brotherhood, disappointment and lost.

I liked it but can't say that it was something very special, I atually did expect a little more by this famous author. The most touching scene was Miffy's Death - bringing everyone closer together and letting them think about love and what's important. I didn't like Cam's writings so much...they stopped the story too much and too often in my opinion.

Caught at C C C C Castricum !
I cried over the book thief. Hope this will be equally touching.

Well, this was definetely not one to cry over.
The writing style that touched me so in the book thief was used here too, but in stead of creating wonder and amazement, it distanced me from the story.
I never got as involved as I got in the book thief. From an author this 'hughe', I expected more. I'll hunt down another of his books and see if the book thief was a lucky shot (i can't imagine) or this one a little 'accident de parcours' ...
If it's a sequel at least that did not bother, it can really stand alone.
Concerning Cam's writing, I agree with C : not adding much, interrupting the story.
