Sleeping with the Fishes (Fred the Mermaid, Book 1)

This is a light silly romp about a half-mermaid who is a marine biologist working at an aquarium where she can talk to the fish. She also has a few love interests and finds out about the mer-world while fighting evil ocean-polluters. Good for before bed or whenever you don't want to strain your brain.

Liked the Queen Betsy series by this author (although I must say that it is getting old - the characters don't seem to learn or grow, the same complaint I have about the Shopaholic series) and thought I'd give this a try.
Cute and non-taxing - this is good fluff, light-hearted and fun. Fred is a marine biologist who is also part-mermaid - she's also allergic to seafood and gets violently seasick. She has 2 men after her heart - a fellow recently assigned to the aquarium where she works and a prince of the Undersea Folk (a full-blooded mer-man).

Adding to my Paranormal Book Box going out this month.
This book stopped here for a short visit in Woodstock, Georgia. It is still travelling in Loriped's Paranormal Bookbox.
I've read this one before. It's fun and silly. If you are looking for serious type paranormal, keep looking. ;-)

This book is silly. Not a very serious read at all. Overall it was ok, just to have something to read on a car ride.
