I really liked the sense of humor in this blend of supernatural/mystery. I wouldn't normally pick up a book called "Defending Angels" but when my local Borders closed the sale prices caused me to pick up some books I might not have otherwise. This book has a lot of "building" or "set-up" in it but I still enjoyed it for the most part. I do plan on reading the next book in the series.
