Took me a while to get into the book but after the first few chapters, I was gripped!

What would you do if, out of the blue, you received a letter from your first love? Would you write back? Thank you Footymadgill for the surprise I got in my mailbox today. I am delighted to get a book by Anita Shreve. I have read several of her books but this is a new one to me. I am sure I will enjoy it.

I did enjoy this book but will have to admit that I didn't like the ending very much. I felt that I was left hanging and went back to reread the last few pages just to make sure I had understood it correctly.
Personally, I would love to get a letter from an old boyfriend but I fear they are all no longer on earth.
