Meganh has raved so much about this book I decided to pick it up for reading on our American Road trip.
A very sensitive and moving story which describes a young boy's life in Afghanistan and his macabre relationship with his father and also his relationship with the servant Hassan who turns out to be his stepbrother. He only discovers this in his adult life which adds to his misgivings and still leaves him in a state of sadness.
