Journal Entry 1 by Tintti from Jyväskylä, Keski-Suomi Finland on Saturday, March 19, 2011
I bought this book from Schiphol airport in Amsterdam last summer, and read it on my way home. I remember liking it very much - I obviously did, because I read it even during the bus ride from Helsinki to Jyväskylä, which I don't usually do because I get car sick very easily if I read in a moving vehicle. Now I don't seem to remember much about the story, so here's the back cover blurb: "Twenty-yead-old Adam Walker, an aspiring poet, is studying in New York City when he meets the enigmatic frenchman Rudolf Born and his silent and seductive girlfriend Margot. Before long, Walker finds himself caught in a love triangle that leads to a sudden, shocking act of violence that will alter the course of his life."

I took the book with me from my first book-crossing meeting ever. I haven't read Paul Auster yet. I just need to find a right moment to read this. Thanks for the book!

Safely picked up from the post office this morning, thanks a lot for this wishlist book! The BC postcard and even the stamps were also highly appreciated. I will try to read it soon, as Paul Auster is one of my favourite authors.

Okay, I'm mad about Auster and this is his fourth book I read, so I'm bound to be subjective. But I really loved reading Invisible. The structure, the characters, the intrigue. The simple but astonishing way each phrase is built. The way of it being intense and even disturbing at times, but without becoming breathtakingly commercial. Thanks for sharing, will try to find the perfect next reader :)
