There are three rules to the old painted, music box: Wind the box three times only. Never shut the box when the music is playing. Never move the box before the music stops. Leo wouldn't dream of breaking these rules, but does his stubborn cousin Mimi listen? She winds the box four times -- and suddenly the paintings on its side come to life and a powerful witch is released. Now its up to Leo and Mimi to stop the witch, if only they can find the key to the music box -- and the magical world it controls.
Giving to megami-no-ushi at the Bookcrossing meeting today becasue she likes music boxes :)
Enjoy!

Brought home from the May meeting - Minerva was so nice to bring it for me when it was left over from the YA VBB!
Taking back to the September "children" themed meeting. This has been on my shelf for a few years and I'm glad to have had an opportunity to read all about a world inside a music box! I wonder if any of mine have a world inside them....

Picked up this book at the September meeting at Cravings.
What a fun read. It catches you up and you are trying to make connections to fairy tales and follow the action. Quick read also!
Finished in time to take to the August meeting at Cravings.
Picked up at the August meet-up of Calgary BookCrossers, held at Cravings Market Restaurant.
Just when I have been wondering why I keep signing up for YA, this book comes me way. What an absolutely delightful YA story. Great use of familiar fairy tale character with a real thriller of good vs. the Evil Queen.
The whole quest was a great adventure and I loved how the story ended. Such a nice break from grim war stories and the like! This book made its way to the top of Mnt. TBR at just the right time!

Taking to the November meet-up of Calgary BookCrossers at Cravings Market Café, to go home with a new reader.
Picked up at get together
Really enjoyed this easy fantasy adventure! I love the idea of a whole world inside a music box which only moves whenever the music box is played. I liked most of the characters, though Mimi was a bit annoying at times and I could've used a bit more from the bad guys. It was still a lot of fun, though!
Thanks for the fun read.

Returning to Calgary BookCrossing group
Got these from a BookCrosser to return to circulation. I am sorting the books and either passing directly to a Calgary member who has requested it or returning it to the person who introduced it to the group. Hopefully this one will find a new reader soon!
