This book certainly held my attention all the way through, and made me hungry for more of Amy Tan's writing.

I really liked the way most of the book was written from the perspective of a mother telling the story of her life to her daughter. The whole thing really rang with authenticity, so much so that I had to keep reminding myself that it was fiction, not a true story. With all the tragedies that happened to this poor woman, I should hope it was only fiction...

I think I may release this tomorrow when we go to Beacon Hill Park.

The Kitchen God's Wife is in safe hands! I spotted a book tucked neatly between the green back boards of a park bench in a lovely garden today around 2:00pm and went over for a look. I had never heard of book crossing before and now this is all new and exciting to me. I can't wait to get active hunting for books and releasing my own now that this unexpected door has been flung open! I plan to read this book and then release it where it tells me it thinks best. The book always knows best.
