This book was sitting in the Little Free Library, waiting to blast off on a new adventure when I, at the last minute, opened the door and pulled it out, whisking it off to a secret location. I never updated the book's journal, so everyone still thought it was in the Little Free Library, but now they will know the truth.
I had it the whole time. I read it and I liked it--mostly. (I could have done without the race references. The 1970s were weird.)
This was a very quick read, a novelization of the 1977 movie "Capricorn One," which asked the conspiracy-theory-laden question: "Would you be shocked to find out that the greatest moment of our recent history may not have happened at all?" In the book/movie, they are talking about the first manned mission to Mars; in reality, they are referring to the 1969 Moon landing, which many people believe was faked. It was a pretty good thriller, if you don't look too closely at the plot, and it was fun to cast the movie in my head and then look up who was *really* cast on IMDB.
