This was a terrific, fun re-read of one of my favorite childhood books. Completely unforgettable characters, a lovable hero, and a wonderful object lesson for teaching kids self-restraint and temperance. Thanks for sharing and off it goes to the next person in the ring.

I liked it a lot! It is slightly different than the movie with Gene Wilder in it. I still liked it! Very quick read actually! I remember reading it when I was younger and enjoying it then too. I also remember reading James and the Giant Peach around that time too...and the Great Glass Elevator...good reads too!

Is this book lost? Was it ever mailed? This book has not seen a journal entry in more than a year and these are questions that could be answered with a new journal entry.

It is hoped that a short stay at the Lost Book Island Resort is all that this book will need to be able to continue its preplanned bookray journey where it will hopefully get many more journal entries to share with the world.
