Released this well-travelled classic to new BC friend Calif-Booklover at our Dublin meet-up this evening.
Picked up the book at a Meet-up of the Alameda County group, on June 8th.
A masterpiece. This book was a wonderful read; in fact, I could hardly put it down for the last hundred pages or so. It's definitely a period piece, first published in 1938 and evocative of "privileged Britain". Now I need to find and watch the Hitchcock movie that was made from this book (Joan Fontaine and Lawrence Olivier as the main characters).
Picked this up at tonights Meetup.
