This series was highly recommended to me, but I thought the book was so-so, I've read better by this author. The plot was good, but fairly typical for Nora Roberts. A young girl finds out from her mother, who is on her deathbed, that the man she thought was her biological father merely adopted her. Her mother tells her that she is the daughter of a married man in Ireland. Suddenly her world is turned upside down, and none of the things she was striving for before her mother's death seem worth the effort. She decides to take a trip back to her homeland to find out more about her mysterious origins. Nice book, I'm not so interested in romances, but for the connoisseur it is a good one.
