An excellent beginning to the Pern books. I need to reread this since it's been a few years since I last read it, but I have an extra copy, so I want to share it with other readers.

UPDATE May 17, 2004: Book has perhaps been lost in transit. Kalahari has not received it. I am waiting on a PM from Sossap to confirm when the book was sent. If it has been lost, I will find another copy to continue the bookray.

UPDATE May 23, 2004: Message posted for forum from Sossap: "No need to! It will be with kalahari next week! It was lost on the mail and return to my adress now, after search on mail lost and found."

UPDATE September 29, 2004: After talon2claw's generous offer of a replacement copy, the original copy reappeared. So now the bookray can continue with the original book.

UPDATE June 24, 2005: No response from kymberlie - is the bookray stuck again??

When you receive the book please leave a journal entry noting that the book has arrived.

When you are ready to send the book on, PM the next person on the list and send by whatever shipping method you prefer. Also make a journal entry about your thoughts on the books and either include in that entry when you plan to send the book on or make a separate release note.

If you are the last person on the list, PM me to see whether this bookray will try to continue (which I would like it to do) or if you should release the book in your own way.

It arrive to me at this moment... I read a portuguese edition in my five's, long time... and I hade to read it again... is the book of my life. Let me enjoy the returning to Pern. Thanks Karendawn for this happy moment :)

UPDATE 9/29/04: As seen below, the original copy has turned up! Yeah!

BIG surprise! This book was in the mail today, together with `The Santaroga Barrier`. I didn´t expect this book at all because karendawn informed that it was lost.
I´m glad it turned up again!

It arrived today, thanks a lot!
