Currently the One Book, One Brisbane read.
I'll read it & then journal.

Very enjoyable. As a reasonably new resident of Brisbane, I also found the historical background about the city's early days in the mid-1800's of great interest. I'll certainly never look at a number of locations in the same light again :-)

The tragedy of the Mayne family legacy will hopefully have been moved forward significantly in a more enlightened way as a result of this fine piece of historical investigation/writing.

This book will also be my first 'themed' release as I hope to set it free & into the wild at the Toowong Cemetery this week. The Toowong Cemetery being the home of the Mayne family memorial.

It was a great book giving me a historical background to many localities in and around brisbane. I now often travel past localities which are refered to in the book and recall the history of the site. Sorry to be such a slacker and not re-releasing this book sooner!
