This is one of two WBN copies of One Day I found in the A&E Department of Harrogate District Hospital this morning. It's a fun book that I thoroughly enjoyed, so I brought one copy away with me to pass on to someone else, and left the other there. This is the one I claimed!

I'm really pleased Nu-Knees found this book! I had been hoping to be lucky enough to receive a copy on World Book Night, as I've been meaning to read it.

I thoroughly enjoyed this. It's wonderfully oberved and very funny - the depiction of 80s and 90s Britain is spot-on, and the observational stuff around watching your friends marry and so on. I found that I could identify with the two main characters, & liked them both very much. I laughed and cried plenty, which is always a good sign! Wasn't quite so sure about the ending though.

I'll pass this onto my colleague who would like to read it next. She's promised to do a journal entry, so we'll see...
