Journal Entry 1 by silkina from Leipzig, Sachsen Germany on Thursday, August 21, 2003
I thought this was a pretty good read, but to be honest, I fail to understand what all the hype is about, or why this book had to win the booker. I've defnitly read better.

Journal Entry 4 by Ench from Hamburg, Hamburg Germany on Monday, September 15, 2003
Another book that i've never read, probably not even noticed without bookcrossing. It was a welcome change to my normal mystery/sci-fi/fantasy mix of fiction that i read. It took me a bit to get into it, and i must admit that the story was written with enough wit and fun that i kept on reading, even though i never really felt "into" the story. I have to agree with Silkina, i cannot see what the hype is about, nonetheless it was an intersting read.

I´ve been waiting to read this book and finally I got it! The story of Piscine Molitor Patel and his journey from India to Canada: on a lifeboat bobbing over the Pacific Ocean, accompanied by a tiger. It´s a fantastic story, beautifully written and funny!!!I just loved it. Send to dagett by mail on 1/10/2003.

Well, a nice read, no more and no less. It's not that I did not like the story and style but I could not quite get into it. I am glad though I had the chance to hop on this bookring, as bookrings are always bringing a shift into my reading habits. sunisunny, watch out, this book will be in your mail in a couple of days!
