On BookCrossing you may choose to remain anonymous or join (it's free). If you join, you’ll be alerted by e-mail each time someone makes another journal entry for this specific copy of this book (other copies of the book are travelling with their own ID number. Every copy of every book has a unique ID). It’s all confidential (you’re known only by your screen name and no one is ever given your e-mail address) and spam-free.

Killing Floor is the first book in the internationally popular Jack Reacher series. It presents Reacher for the first time, as the tough ex-military cop of no fixed abode: a righter of wrongs, the perfect action hero.

'THE KILLING FLOOR' is a dynamic, intricate thriller which literally keeps you turning the pages. The character of Jack Reacher is very strong; deceptively simply written and wholly engaging.

Thank you so much for this surprise! When I decided to start reading the Jack Reacher books in order, I was buying them whenever I saw them in charity shops but this first book remained elusive. I even applied to be part of World Book Night with this as my first book choice but I was not accepted and there were no WBN events in my area to go searching for one. So this book is very gratefully received. Thank you.

I really enjoyed this but it wasn't what I expected. I've been collecting the Jack Reacher series for a while now, just as I see them in charity shops but the first book has always been elusive until now, but I never really knew the background. I wasn't expecting a bit of a 'madman' on the loose if that is the right term. Looking for for the next one because that has also been elusive. Got to say - Tom Cruise for Jack Reacher in the film? So wrong! I've heard people say that already and now I know the first thing you read in the book is that Reacher is 6' 5" and 113kg. Hollywood make-up may be good but surely not that good.

Sending the book on to the next reader in the international letter round robin.

I enjoyed this book a lot. My first in the series and it made me curious about the rest of the series (eventhough some of the other readers say it is quite different from the other books). I am normally not really enjoying thrillers / detectives, but the storyline was quite convincing in my opinion and not pretictable.

**** UPDATE ****
Today I came back from holiday and I got the enveloppe back that the book was in, stating the address I used was wrong. However: the book was not in the envelope :( Could be because our mailbox was completely full, so I hope I will get it within the next days. I will update once I know more.
