I LOVE Judith Viorst.

That said, I want to state here that the full title of this book is: _Necessary Losses: The Loves, Illusions, Dependencies and Impossible Expectations_ -- is that NOT a kewl title? It just wouldn't all fit (I found that to be a real bummer, what what can you do?)!

I fell in love with Judith Viorst's writing style with her book _Yes, Married_ (which I highly recommend along with this book, who's full title of this book (which wouldn't fit in the space allowed) is: _Necessary Losses: The Loves, Illusions, Dependencies and Impossible Expectations That All of Us Have to Give Up in Order to Grow_).

She's funny, dry, witty and truly realistic about life.

In this book she deals with separation, guilt, loving, leaving, losing, dying, mourning, passion, triangles, self, marriage, children, friends and family. All big topics and she provides 90 pages of "Notes and Elaborations" and 21 pages of bibliography -- so it's quite well researched.

So check her out!

Released on Thursday, September 25, 2003 at 267 Pearl (therapist office) Ck. diff. mag. places in Burlington, Vermont USA.

I left this book on the low magazine rack between two of the chairs, right next to the book I left a couple weeks ago A Glass of Blessings.

But there is another rack on the wall, as well as a basket in the corner, so check them all, since it could end up anywhere.

I can only hope that the fate of this book (well BOTH of these books) will be better than the fate of both the books I left later this day down on the waterfront. And since I took the time to write a cute little fable (if I may say so myself), I'm going to give you link so you can read the horrific account describing what I witnessed while releasing those books
Click here for my "tale of woe"

Good hunting!

This is actually my first book "catching" experience. I caught this book along with one other in a therapist's office in Burlington. The books were waiting for me in a reading material rack in the reception room. I entered the office expecting to have to explain what I was doing, but there was no one in sight so I found the books and "caught" them to bring home with me. Looking forward to reading them!!
