The book was great! I will be mailing it out tomorrow or Monday at the latest!

Journal Entry 5 by Eskielover from Olympia, Washington USA on Friday, September 5, 2003
The book arrived today. I have one rather small book to read before I start on this one.

Journal Entry 6 by Eskielover from Olympia, Washington USA on Monday, September 8, 2003
This thoroughly gripping and suspenseful thriller kept me up late (or early) 2 nights running. It is a real page-turner and I had difficulty putting it down. Then I read the sneak preview of the next book, "The Apprentice", and decided that I would keep a look out for that book too. This book goes in the mail to fruitbat tomorrow.

Journal Entry 7 by fruitbat from Cottage Grove, Oregon USA on Thursday, September 11, 2003
woohoo, got in the mail today from Eskielover! I know what I'm doing tonight!!

Journal Entry 8 by fruitbat from Cottage Grove, Oregon USA on Thursday, September 11, 2003
It took a few chapters for me to really get into, but once I do -- woah! I'm glad it arrived in the mail early enough in the afternoon that I could finish it before dark -- and on a day when my husband was home so I would be safe while reading it! I really wonder sometimes what the appeal for grisly books like this is... I still don't know, but with a writer as skilled as Gerritsen, I can't look away. I'll be looking for more of her books this week. Heck, tomorrow! Right after I go to the post office to mail to kymberlie in Texas. Thanks for the great ring, Jas330!

Received today - thanks, fruitbat! Going to start this as soon as I can. It sounds so good!

I enjoyed this book for several reasons - the biggest being the story itself and the characters. I truly liked Cordell, Moore, and Rizzoli and wanted to see what was going to happen to each of them. I also enjoyed the plot and figuring out who the killer was and how he was choosing his victims.

Highly recommended for fans of the thriller/mystery genres and for anyone else that wants to get their blood pumping. Can’t wait to read the rest of Gerritsen’s work.

Mailed to Sherria today. Hope you enjoy the book!

Journal Entry 12 by Sherria from Bethel, Connecticut USA on Saturday, October 18, 2003
I've been attacked by bookrings/rays! This makes number 5, I think. I'll get to it as quickly as possible then send it on to the next person on the list.

What a fun book! I really needed some escapism like this after my last read, so the timing was perfect.

I enjoyed this book a lot. The past was fast and engaging fairly quickly, and the characters well developed. They mystery was easy to follow and the ending was as expected. I"m looking forward to reading more of Gerritsen's work.

Thanks Jas330, for sharing this book and introducing me to another wonderful author!

I'll send it on it's way to FranciJo as soon as I get an address.

Arrived in the mail today. Good timing! I was trying to decided what to read next.

Forgot to make a journal entry when I sent this one out. It's on its way back to Jas330 (everyone else in the ring had already gotten ahold of another copy of it).

Good read... I'm excited about reading the next one in the series.
