Life of Pi
1 journaler for this copy...
The first 1/4 of this book made me think, "Hmmm, it's interesting, but if it doesn't go along a little faster, I'm going to have to skip ahead." But there was just enough metaphor in that first 1/4 to keep me plowing through those first, slow pages. Then the book hits it's true story form and I was nailed to my seat. Martel pulls off quite a feat with this story in the originality department. I actually thought the story was true until I did research on-line and figured out I'd been bamboozled.
This has had mixed reviews from different friends who've read it. I thought it was well worth the read.
