Journal Entry 1 by karendawn from Lafayette, Indiana USA on Friday, August 08, 2003
This was a fun read - not stellar, but definitely good. I enjoyed (mostly) the alternative 1985 and I liked the idea of being able to go into books (or have characters come out of them) though it's scary to think of the possibility of changing the text and what happens in the story. The literary allusions were also fun to catch, so it would be helpful to be familiar with Victorian literature (especially Dickens and Jane Eyre) and a little with Shakespeare as those were the major focus areas. Oh, and a little of Romantics poetry.
