Such a beautiful story. So gentle and loving and fun as well. I send this book to my overseas friends when they have babies ~ it has been reprinted in about 15 languages... (Still waiting on the American version... ;-) )

Posted on Friday 19th September to fanclub in Hawaii.
My son and I liked this adorable little book about a young possum who is invisible...We didn't know what some of the food was they were eating, but we used our imaginations! And we will be trying the accompanying vegemite to see what we think about that! Thanks, Libris-Princess!

This was another adorable book! My daughter informed me that she reads it everyday at nap-time with her friend Sarah but was thrilled to share it with me at home. She even kept the secret of the story a secret and told me not to peek at the end because I'd ruin it.
We did try the Vegemite but I didn't follow your directions that said "spread THINLY" and we all got a little shock :) Thanks so much for sharing. This was such a wonderful bc'ing experience!
Sending off to Caligula03.

This book has beautiful illustrations. I will share it with my son as soon as I can.
Lovely book with beautiful illustrations. It's nice to know that Vegemite is useful for something.

The good news.... this has arrived today.
The bad news.... the Vegemite had exploded en route to Virginia.
I have managed to clean most of it off the books, and all but one postcard escaped, but the letter suffered big time - I have cleaned that up too and will put it in a plastic bag for posterity's sake when it's dry - and the Vegemite itself has been consigned to the trash, I'm afraid. The smell will linger on the books though, so all is not quite lost ;-)
I took a couple of photos and will add them to the journal entries when I've got round to uploading them...
Erm, thanks....

I and my children (girls aged 2 and 4) loved this book. It was only after reading it that I realised why the cookbook and the guide to Australian mammals had been included! My children have already lived in Europe and America, so it was nice for them to read about yet another continent! Thanks for sharing. Oh, and the Vegemite aroma still persists, so the book is a multi-sensory experience now.
