A Plague on Both Your Houses (Matthew Bartholomew Chronicles)

Yet another mystery series I thought I would like to try. 1348 Cambridge might be a bit of a stretch for me, but I was willing to at least read this one, because it was the first in the series, which is a rarity when you stock your shelves from library book sales and thrift stores and give aways.
Not sure that I followed everything in the plot, but it was compelling and the characters were interesting. I am not sure why I picked this up, since I am not big on medieval history, but it was an informative read in addition to the mystery aspect. There was a lot of information on the plague and the nature of the early universities. I have a feeling that a reader of the medieval mysteries could give a more well-rounded review and I think it would be positive.
Adding this to Mystery VBB run by bookstogive.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
What’s better than a good mystery?
A good mystery I learn from😉
I enjoyed this a while back, appropriately during the time of our own plague… As I keep seeing more and more LFL’s popping up, I’m trying to keep a stack of books in my car to release as I am about my day.
May the next street or enjoy!!
