Journal Entry 1 by livrecache from Hobart, Tasmania Australia on Sunday, January 30, 2011

7 out of 10

Found abandoned while helping the kids move house last week in Melbourne. It's interesting but, surprisingly, it's not very well written. Watson travelled mostly by train through the US in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, the point at which his journey begins. His general political insights are sound, but as prevailing thought at the time held that Hillary would be the next president, his predictions and comments have been proved wrong.
Travelling by train is a great idea though, as it brought him in contact with the American poor as no other way of travel could – except perhaps by the ubquitous Greyhound.

Offered to OZ VBB, but unclaimed, so I am withdrawing it. (It's been annotated by former owners, so it's not in pristine condition anyway.)
