The true story of a 19-year-old American boy wo travels to South America to share his Christian faith with the indigenous tribes of the Amazon who have never been exposed to the Gospel.
This is story of Bruce Olson, a nineteen-year-old American boy from Minnesota who traveled by himself to South America to share his Christian faith with the Indians of the Amazon jungle. He wanted to share the good news with a people who had never heard it before. This occurred in the 1960's. The book that I read was a thirtieth-anniversary edition of the first publication. Bruce was called Bruchko by the Motilone Indians whom he lived with in Colombia. His story is amazing and inspiring. An epilogue at the end of the book describes the manifold changes that had occurred as a result of the Motilone Indians believing in the teachings of "the one who walks the trails with us" (Jesus). One of the many results has been the Colombian government granting a large mass of land to the Motilone Indians and 15 other tribes.
