The Two Dead Girls (Green Mile Series)

The first in the Green Mile series. An excellent read, esp. intriguing when it came out in parts, once a month.

Found this on a book buffet at the 2011 BookCrossing Anniversary Convention!
I was working at Waldenbooks when "The Green Mile" was released in serial form. I remember it created quite a stir, with people anxiously awaiting each new part. I'm glad I'll finally have a chance to read them—one big book wouldn't be the same!

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
Book buffet at 2011 BC Convention.
Stephen King is one of those authors I never read before discovering BookCrossing, pooh-poohing him as not "serious" enough. But who was I kidding? Back when "The Green Mile" first came out in serialized form, I was reading sleazy historical romances almost exclusively! So much for high-brow. I think it was his column in Entertainment Weekly magazine and my appreciation of the movies "Misery" and "The Shawshank Redemption" that tempted me to actually read a Stephen King novel. And I like them. I like this one, too, so far. Should I wait a month before tackling Book 2?
