Honolulu

The only saving grace about this book for me was the fact that I read it on a trip to Honolulu....
I found it a very badly written book which had little to offer other than some insite into the history of the Island.
For me it seemed as if the author had written out a long list of historical / geographical and social points of interest, then tried to weave them all into a story; ticking them off the list as he went along.
A poor man's version of a James Mitchener novel.

Going to leave this book on hotel bookshelves for someone else to enjoy.
