CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
Congrats on choosing this one from smurphies First sentence vbb. It is as its first sentence ‘promises’. Strange, compelling, somewhat weird.
I liked this book. Sometimes I would have preferred it to be a bit more fast-paced. That’s probably why I held on to it for so long. Sorry 727.

Chosen out of the First line VBB:
'Sometimes it happens that our past will reach out for us in quite an unexpected fashion' Well, what could this be??
Thanks Bloedengel, for sending this to me. It is a surprise indeed. I am so glad you like this book. Because I will be sampling a new genre for me. Hmmm, how will this be? I feel I a wading out into a lake, where I cannot see where my feet are going...

Chosen from the Books Beginning With Z bookring. I'm quite intrigued by this one. Thank you!

A book of somewhat Gaimanesque short stories, described on the back as 'Gothic Horror', all a bit creepy though I wouldn't say it quite crosses into horror at any point. It's quite clever though some of the stories are better than others. Especially liked Past Imperfect, about a man who can't quite place where he knows a woman he is clearly close to.
