I am really looking forward to this book--I love this author. I was able to get this book with my Christmas money--what a great treat :-)
I really love this author--too bad that her life was cut short by the circumstances of WWII.
Her books always give us insights into life and all the lessons it holds for us.
I will release this one soon.

Released 12 yrs ago (4/14/2012 UTC) at Joshua Tree Café, Edmonton Trail in Calgary, Alberta Canada
WILD RELEASE NOTES:
Tomorrow morning at the Calgary Meetup, we are going to put previously released Bookcrossing books on the table to be shared. This does not mean that I am releasing this book into the wilds of Calgary, it means that I am giving other Bookcrossers a chance to read and JE this book instead of it waiting to be read on my shelf. I would like this book returned to me one day. If it is not claimed tomorrow, it will be coming back home with me, safe and sound, to wait its turn on my bedside table.
Are you in the Calgary area and interested in meeting up with other Calgary BookCrossers? Please check out our Facebook group, "BookCrossing Calgary" for details on how. Meetings are held on the second Saturday of every month at the Joshua Tree Cafe on Edmonton Trail N.E. starting at 11am. New and experienced Bookcrossers are always welcome.

David came home with me and is placed higher up on Mount TBR
This book has finally muscled its way to the top of my TBR Mountain Range and I am wondering why I waited so long. I am halfway into the story and I haven't decided if I feel sorry or disgust for David Golder.
Thank you so much for this experience!

Such a great book, I am so honoured to meet David Golder, an excellent story, and now I wish to find "Suite Francais" I am sure that it will be as wonderful and touching as "Davis Golder".
Thank you again, Pumpkinpussycat!

Brought this home from the Dec. meetup at Cravings.
This is one of those books where you don't really like any of the characters but the store just catches you up and you feel David's pains and frustrations. Thanks for the awesome read.
Bringing this to the September meet up at Cravings.
Picked up from this month's Calgary Bookcrossing meeting. To be read when I feel like I need a touch of humanity... Or something.
I don't know what to make of this book. I went back to the introduction after I finished the book, and gave me a different appreciation for the book the second time around.
It wasn't an easy book to read, but it was a good read. And one that resonated long after I finished it.
Will be brought back to Calgary Bookcrossing and handed off to a new refer hopefully.

Pick this up at the April Calgary Brookcrossing meet up.
This will be one of those great novels that you have to read just to absorb the depth of Irène Némirovsky.
I may have to read it again before I put it in a LFL.
