I enjoyed reading A Christmas Visitor by this author over the Christmas holidays 2010, so I picked this up from a charity shop this morning to read over Christmas 2011! There's nothing like forward planning ....

Well, as it turned out, I read it over the Easter weekend instead (LOL!) At only 136 pages it didn't take long - while it didn't exactly tax the brain, it was pleasant enough while it lasted :-)
A Victorian reverend gentleman and his wife leave London to spend Christmas covering for the vicar of a small rural parish while he takes a holiday - or does he? Do some of the villagers' hidden secrets hold the clue to the mysterious death they uncover while they're there?

Nothing here to dislike, although nothing to get over excited about either! This is just what you'd expect from the cover blurb - a pleasant & easy read set in Victorian England at Christmas time. Perfect for passing a quiet afternoon - which is what I did!
