The Jane Austen Book Club
3 journalers for this copy...
I watched the film a long, long time ago and had the book laying around for a while. Since I recently felt like I needed more Austen in my life but also had left all my Austen novels at my parent's house, I thought it was time for this book.
I liked it. Maybe it was for the fact that Jane Austen's novels are so central to the plot. Maybe it had to do with the setting; I'm somewhat partial to anything Sacramento. Anyways, it was a nice and enjoyable read.

A book from my wishlist! Thanks so much!

To be honest: I expected more Austen and less chicklit, but all in all it was witty and heartful. The most interesting part, however, was "The Response" with the different views and opinions about Austen during the time.

In the meantime my mother read it and said it was a light read during an unwelcomed hospitalstay.
I´m eager to send the book on a new journey soon.
