CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
Megan returns to Merridian University (a supernatural and surreal college she visits in her dreams) as an exchange student. Interesting story...not crazy about Thomas' role in this volume. But I enjoyed this series and I'm passing it on to other bookcrossers!
Added to the Manga/Graphic Novel Bookbox. Enjoy!

Very beautiful cover art and very intriguing concept indeed. The cover art looks at a glance really like Candy Candy... maybe the artist watched it as a kid like I did? The inside art is a bit amateurish but I hope the story makes up for it. Thanks for sharing.
Truly, a lot of Candy Candy deja vu here... LOL.
Either I am getting used to her style, or the artist has improved, but I am getting more into the story. I wasn't too excited with vol 1, but figured as I have vol 2, I may as well read it. I ended up wanting to continue the story.
Thanks so much mhs160 for sharing this series. I will put it into the manga bookbox and pass it on.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
Putting this into the bookbox to share with the next reader. Enjoy!
I read the previous book in this series, so I might stop and read this one before sending it on.

Later...
I still find the artwork extremely underwhelming, but Tavisha's illustrations have definitely improved over the first book in this series. I don't think she's quite hit her stride with faces - all the male characters look the same, and characters' expressions always seem quite forced - but it's coming along.
The introduction to the book, by "the Wired Psyche", almost made me spit juice all over the book, especially the final paragraph:
"The work does not go easy for Tavisha and Rikki...They toil for us without sleep, for half-lit days and withdrawn nights. Their blood pressures rise and yet they neglect exercise, friends, family and the grotesque peepshows of the wretched television machine-"
Oh, please. Climb down off of your purple prose high horse WHINEFEST and get on with it, already! (Maybe it's because I work with them every day, but I have very low tolerance for artists complaining about how hard it is to work.)
Once the story actually starts, it's better. I found myself actually starting to get curious about this world that Megan has found herself randomly thrust into. There are a couple of times in which characters lapse into unbelievable fake-sounding dialogue, most notably when AJ discusses his past lives, but it's at least a little interesting, something the first volume couldn't claim.

This book enjoyed a brief visit in San Jose, CA, before continuing its travels in the Anything Goes Manga BookBox by AKSarah.
Taken out of AKSarah's Graphic Novel/Manga Bookbox with volume one of the same.
Better than the first volume, but still a bit shaky. I did enjoy it though.
